How to tell a guy you would just like to be friends?
So there is this guy that I've just met this year in my english class, and I'll be honest, I might have flirted with him a bit, because I'm a flirt. Anyway, he says he would like to get to know me and that he likes me, and posted on my fb wall a LMS status saying that he'd like to date me and even consider kissing me! To be honest I think he's a really cool guy, but I am interested in someone else and would like to persue that relationship instead. How do I tell this guy that I would just like to be friends?

You're like a brother to me.
Let that slip....
It shows friendship and caring yet leaves no room for romantic interest. This instantly lets a guy know that you aren't interested in him that way. If his ego is wounded as a result of this.. it wasn't by you. You're saying
"You're so great - you're like family"

I would say just sit him down and try you best to tell him the truth without being to mean about it. You could say "I'm sorry (his name here).I really love being your friend, and I like you just not in the same way that you like me.There is someone else I would like to try a relationship with right now.I really hope you can except that and will still be my friend.I don't want to lose you over this but I don't want to drag you along either letting you think I feel the same way towards you".That is the only way I can think of to put it without being mean about it.
