What NFL position should I play?
Hey
I want to start playing NFL but I'm not sure what position to play. I live in UK, so it is not as serious as it is in america. Im 5ft 8 and weigh 72kg. I used to play football as goalkeeper so I'm a good catcher, and used to play fullback in rugby as i was one of the best tacklers. I have decent speed also.
Thanks for your help.

With the lack of actual football experience and considering your size your chances of playing in the NFL are very slim to none... I would stick with your current sport.. Sorry... Good luck......

If you actually mean NFL, there's no way he could play anything except kicker/punter, with his soccer background and lack of size. If you just mean football positions in general, I think he's be a good defensive back, like a Safety or a Cornerback, or a good wide reciever, because he has decent height and is obviously fairly skinny but soccer players are often fast and have good footwork. It also depends on age too. If he's 13 and that tall he'd be an awesome wide reciever. If he's 18, well, then there's going to be plenty of kids that size.

Based on your height and weight, as well as your speed and ability to catch well, I believe that the best fit for you is at the wide receiver position. You have the ideal size for a wide receiver in football.

Cornerback- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornerback
cornerbacks are usually that size, you just need to workout and increase speed and your jumping verticle.
Remember you must go into a college first before making it here.
Most Foreign players in the NFL are kickers and Punters just to let you know.

Not sure how old you are, but if you're not expecting to grow much I would focus on cornerback. You're pretty small for any other position.

I'd advise you try playing Strong Safety. In this position you'll be able to use your tackling skills a lot to help stop the opposing team's running game, and also be able to use that speed in the pass coverage. Since you're a good catcher, you'll probably be able to intercept a few balls.
Cheers!
