Do you agree with Ganguly and Brett Lee that Gambhir should be the next test captain for India?

Gambhir is certainly an aggressive captain. He led his team very well throughout the whole tournament. Last year KKR reached in to semifinals and this year they sealed the trophy. But that is another question that can he successful as captain in Tests? I am not in the favor of making Gambhir captain. Gambhir and Dhoni are of same age and there can be clash of egos if we give assign captaincy task to Gambhir. We should go with a young age captain (certainly my finger is towards Kohli). MSD's team also reached in Finals. That was just Bisla's innings which created the difference. MSD has won two IPLs in a row, so what ? Ganguly and Brett Lee's opinions doesn't hold much value. Ganguly is from Kolkata and Brett Lee is a player of Kolkata Knight Riders.

A T20 tournament winning captain can be assigned as a captain in Test format. We did that when MSD won the T20 cup for India. Gambhir has won a oneday series for India in past. But still I am not in the favor of making Gambhir Test team captain.

Thinking faculty becomes blunt when emotion overtakes. These are opinions voiced on the spur of the moment and therefore emotive. Moreover, most had answered in that fashion as the TV channel wanted to air only such an opinion. The leadership issue in Indian cricket is a well settled issue. Dhoni is doing a fine job and successor is being groomed well in Virat Kohli. Leading a pack in T20 is different from leading a test team and Gambhir has his limitations.

Yes of course. Gambhir has not only won the IPL but has brilliantly led India in an ODI series in Dhoni's absence.

No I don't. I think Kohli will be the next captain of India. He is the one most likely to play "a captains knock" when the team needs it.

yes. But, before that India need to find a potential wicket keeper who can bat as a test batsman. What I see is that Dhoni has no issue in his captaincy, its only in his batting in tests and if we want to see india at top, we need to find a wicket keeper batsman who is not less in potential than dhoni as a wicket keeper and batsman has.

Absolutely not. Gambhir KKR useless captain ever. His decision is not work to make his matches. actually lots of good player in KKR that why KKR win. Gambhir have nothing to do i thing. also his personal performance is Zero in ipl.

I don't think so. Dhoni should stay as the captain in test matches because Gambhir just leads kkr and wins IPL but test match is totally different from 20-20.
