Theres a cord not connected under my hood and I dont know whats its for?

There is a cord under my hood that is not connected to anything. I dont know what its for and i have had the car for 2 years, and still runs the same no problem. But kinda worried about what it might be for. Ford Focus 2000 zts. it leads to inside the car and looks like it should be attached to something that created tension.

Update:

It leads to a box that says ford focus zetec on it.

I'm guessing it's a wire, not a cord, and it's probably a wire in the factory standard wiring harness that is intended for an optional accessory that your car doesn't have.

If you've had the car for two years and there's never been anything connected to this wire, then I'm sure it's nothing to be concerned about now.
