I need help in choosing which book to read for an ENGLISH 4 summer assignment?!?
There's three books I can choose from which are:
-Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
-Macbeth by William Shakespeare
-Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad
I did research on some of the summaries for them but they tell me the whole book instead of just a summary to get me interested. I just want to see what other people prefer too.. So please, give me some ideas on which is better out of these three and any additional feedback about the books would be helpful! Thank you so much! :D

"Pride and Prejudice" is an awesome book. I have written on it before.
"Macbeth" is thrilling and is very intense. I have also written on this one.
I have never heard of "Heart in Darkness"
If you are into to love and a more of a calm book read and write on"Pride and Prejudice"
If you are interested in bloodshed (not in a bad way) and melancholy read "Macbeth"
Good luck on your assignment!

MacBeth by William Shakespeare
Great story of betrayal and loss coupled with an easily picked apart story with good and easily identified symbolism.
Source(s): Read it for English about 3 months ago and can still recite key points and symbols - geiszLv 45 years ago
any such tremendous number of possibilities... per chance "White Noise" by Don DeLillo or "The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay" by Michael Chabon. Or, once you try to electrify, any e book by Philip Roth.
