disable the password function on my PC laptop?
I'd like to open and use my new PC laptop without having to enter my password. Also, I have to enter my password every time the computer goes to sleep and I wake it. Can I disable this? I usually use a Mac and this is not an issue on Mac... you just open it up and use it.

Click start/control panel/users and family safety/user account/ change your windows password. Take off any password that might be there

Go to start, click control panel, click user account, click the account and click remove password.
To keep it from asking for the password when waking from sleep go to control panel click power options click the advanced tab click and un-check the box titled prompt for password when computer resumes from stand by then click apply and OK.
Post the brand, model number, installed operating system when asking a question please !
