Should I change horse stables?
Well basically I hate this new horse teacher that came here. Hee puts like twenty kids in the arena. he pays attention to only one. he then tells me to do something when horses are crowded in an area. he never pays any attention to my riding. he screams at me calls my horse nasty things and tells me how much my horse hates me. he makes me call myself handicapped/stupid/dumb in front of all the group. Then when I ask her something she doesn't respond saying I'm supposed to know these things already. And when I try my best doing something when I know what she said isn't correct she sends me in the middle of the arena crying. And then tells me to get off her horse. Like I am paying money to use the horse and after 15 minutes he tells me to send the horse back? I am paying her to answer my questions? I first came here from horse camp I loved horses. I was confident and I felt great. Until he came in insulting me telling me I'm stupid and telling me I abuse my horse!! Before this no one ever treated me like this. He tells me to come on Monday for some lesson when I appear he's not there. He's off to some horse party. And there goes 50$!!! Please help I don't want to ever go back. I hate horses now. I hate riding and I just want to be me.. And then once she told me to stop the horse. I couldn't because six other horses crowded around me. He screamed at me to stop. I did and he told me because a horse almost kicked at me to get off his horse. He also uses and forces kids/adults into horse shows always pressuring them trying to make profit out of it. The group goes to shows at least 8 times per month.
Also once I get off the horse I have to put it back and then I had to clean the whole arena after as a punishment.

You most definitely should change barns. That person is not a trainer, but instead a big egoed person who probably knows nothing. 15 minutes of lesson for $50? No. Report him to the barn owners and find a new barn as soon as possible.

Definitely go someplace else. If riding isn't fun anymore then you know that you should be someplace else. It isi very dangerous to have to many people in an arena. Showing isn't even bad but once you get pressured into winning all the time then who wants to do it anymore? Go to a barn that is friendly with a good instructor. And i personally think showing is good because it builds confidence but when you are just doing it for fun and forced to make a profit it really sucks the life out of it.

yes, definitely switch. I ride at a place with me and one other person as weekly regular riders (several people ride a couple times a month but not regularly) and I adore it, there's only 9 horses (if you count the two newborns haha) with 4 of them being boarders (two permanent, one temporary and one pending) and I have private lessons, unless there's a person directly after me there normally isn't a time limit, from when I get there to when I'm done with the lesson ill be there 2-3 hours (I sometimes hangout and watch other riders) try and find a small, down to earth place like that, there isn't quite as much opportunity to show, put to learn you can't beat an environment like it. but make sure the instructor knows what he/she is doing, my old one totally screwed up my riding position and I spent almost two years fixing it :/

yes no trainer should ever act like that to their students period, if you are paying for a lesson you better get your moneys worth, and if this trainer is making you experiences with horses not fun get out now before it gets worse, horses should bring you positives not negatives yes we all struggle from time to time, and dislike horses but it shouldn't be every ride or every time you step foot in that barn, i would also inform the barn owner about this i don't know many people trying to run a business wanting some one like that working at their farm,

I'd say leave. That's not the way to treat students. The barn I go to has maybe 5 -10 in the arena in a group lesson.

YES!!!! That man sounds dumb and I bet he has no clue about horses. You should report him to te owner and say your leaving and there goes a customer- they "survive" on their customers, so of the owner knows that people are leaving because of him then they will most likely fire him.
Don't hate horses- its not there fault!
Good luck!

Leave and get your money back for that one lesson where he didn't show up. That is rude and unprofessional. Also I'd let the barn owner know why they are losing your business.

You pretty much already answered your own question. Change barns as soon as you can. If it's not fun anymore there, then you need to change your environment, especially if you're not getting your money's worth.
