Should I trust this guy?
So, I was thinking of buying the Dell Alienware M18x laptop which is like almost $2000. So I found this guy who's willing to sell it to me for $680usd with delivery, Custom, VAT, Tax and all other charges. This guy's email address is applesalesproducts@hotmail.com. He gave me his work address and regustration number which is:ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY NETWORK LIMITED Address:C/O INTELLECT, RUSSELL SQUARE HOUSE, LONDON, WC1B 5EE UNITED KINGDOM Registered No: 06014227
He also says: And I quote "We will ship worldwide to all countries All items would be arranged shipping within business days upon payment cleared Shipping takes approximately 48 working hours under norma circumstances. It is recommended to purchase the shipping insurance to secure your item All items will be shipped to buyer’s home or office"
But then again here he says that he's from the Apple Sales company or what not. Then he gives me the address of Electronics Technology Metwork Limited and says he's a sales rep.
Oh and when I asked him why the price was so low he replied saying he directly bought it from the maufacturers so that he can sell it to the retailers for an affordable rate.
It'd be great if you all could help me decide :) thanks in advance

It is a definite scam.
No one will sell a product for so much less, when he/she can make more profit. It is not credible.
And a hotmail email address only proves that he is not legitimate.
Ask him for a corporate e-mail address, and see what he says. Tell him you want to talk to other customers of his who has bought the laptop - for reference.
A previous poster said to tell him you want to go collect it personally and pay cash; that's a great idea. If he refuses or gives excuse, you have just proven the scam.

I don't think you should trust him. First off the price is nearly a quarter of what it originally was meaning several things :
1) He is scamming you and just trying to get your money and giving nothing in return
2) The item he is selling is not what it seems. It could be a fake or something else
3) The item he is selling is broken and probably beyond repair
I'm not sure what you want to do but if I were you I wouldn't go through with the deal. Just play it safe but if you do then go for it but if anything is out of line phone the police immediately and give as much detail as possible. Keep all your conversations and everything for evidence.
Good Luck!

You need to examine yourself. I hope you're not older than 25....... because this is very clearly a scam..... and you should know that if you're over 25. If you're over 25....... you should immediately have just dropped this obvious scam as a serious possibility to buy your computer from.
This is 100% not legit. It's obviously not legit. Understand yourself so you don't put yourself in jeopardy with something else in the future.
Source(s): BTW: It's almost impossible for the police to "recover your money" from a scam. This almost never happens. The money will be gone. - !Lv 79 years ago
The hotmail address says it all...he claims to be dealing with Apple/working in the IT field and he doesn't even have his own business domain name....and are you a retailer...?

I think you should trust him, he gave you a lot of details so if it is a scam you can easily call the police to get your money back and arrest him.
