Could the Federal Gov't take over Solyndra instead of allowing it to go bankrupt?
Instead of throwing out $500 Million Dollars. We spent that much should we have gotten something back for our investment. And did anyone go to jail or have their bank accounts frozen.

Solyndra, as we all know now, was a poorly disguised scam to: 1. Give Obama a backdrop for some of his hokey Green Energy speeches. And, 2. Funnel $500M from the Treasury to Obama's campaign contributors.
Why would we continue to fund something that is so bogus in so many ways?
One answer could be that we fund lots of things that are bogus in lots of ways.
New question: How can we stop the federal government from giving money to bogus people and bogus businesses and bogus government agencies?
Answer: Vote for the Tea Party candidates in every election.
The Tea Party is a young movement. Tea Party members want to return the US to having a representative government.

If the government would have taken that $500 million and built the Bridge to Nowhere the people of Ketchikan, AK would now be happily driving to and from the airport on it.
Anyway, the government theorically could have throw even more money at Solyndra and kept it running. However, to be running it would have to be making and selling product, and if the product is not competitive in the market it would still be soaking up government money.
