Where is the worst place to be gay in the Middle East?

I am doing a project on the Middle East and decided to pick the topic of being gay there. But my teacher wants me to only do one country, so I am asking which is the worst place to be gay in the Middle East. Like where there is death and punishment and examples of that from that country. Thanks

You might wanna consider Iran too. They've got execution or death penalty for whomever that is proven to be homosexual. And usually they execute her/him immediately, without reconsidering or an appeal or anything.

Um, pretty much every Middle Eastern country is hostile towards gays/lesbians/bisexuals.

The biggest haters of homosexuality/bisexuality are Christians, Muslims, and Jews --- and the Middle East is literally the birthplace of those religions.  Jerusalem is the holy city for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and Mecca is the holy city specifically for Muslims.

I would assume the countries terrorized by the Taliban (strict Muslim religious group, responsible for many terrorist activities and attacks), such as Afghanistan or Pakistan, would be the worst.  The Taliban is extremely anti-gay, anti-woman/female's rights, anti-West (i.e. USA and Europe), etc.  They do not hesitate to murder, torture, kidnap, take hostages, steal, terrorize, bomb, threaten, and so on.  A gay or lesbian couple could get violently killed or tortured if they are discovered. :(

Ignore the answer saying India is the worst. India isn't hostile towards gays.

Look on wikipedia to see LGB rights by country. It'll show what countries have penalties inluding death, imprisonment and labour, and which have anti-discrimination laws, gay marriage, allows gays to donate blood etc...
