Need help with Skyrim!?

I have a ps3 with somewhere around 150 gb of free space. What's wrong is that when I try to drop or equip an item no matter what it is it takes somewhere around three to eight seconds for it to do what I want. Now the hard way around this takes about 30 minutes to do. And I do it by having two save files of the same character laoding on then the other the first one I load is the one that has the trouble, and it takes somewhere around 30minutes to load. What I want to know is how do I fix or avoid this it has happend one time before and both accounts where khajeets and somewhere around level 40. Please help and I also want to know how to clear my catch if it's possible on the playstation 3.

Update:

Just noticed that both accounts were level 41

If your playing on a ps3 make sure you have all the updates for the game. You could clear your cache if your on pc through steam I am not sure it can be done for console.

Yeah, the playstation version have a lot of problems. Mine used to freeze every time I tried to swim.

You can try and reinstall the game. Go to "Game Data Utility" (NOT "Save Data Utility") and delete the Skyrim files, and then reinstall. You will still have your save files, you don't have to start over.
