Short story premise?
I'm trying to write a short and simple premise for my short story. I was hoping to receive some feedback on both content and languange.
For fifteen years they have haunted, and been hunted, by a notorious serial killer called Trinity. Even in the midst of the chaos that ended the world, the hunt continued. But it is about to reach its end.

I'm writing my first story in English, and there's a few words and expressions I'm unsure of, if they're used correctly, in the right context and such (like "vibrating pulse", "laden with", "emanating" and more below).
Here's the text:
A buzzing sound emitted from a generator somewhere in the building, mixed with a persistent ticking from an unknown clock, and every now and then a passing train sent a vibrating pulse through the walls of the building. The room had a heavy atmosphere laden with the smoke of cigarettes and the oaky harsh smell of Jack Daniel's, with a tension emanating from the grotesque photographs spread across the wooden table.
Olivia focused her eyes/gaze (is eyes and gaze both acceptable in this context, does one sound better than the other?), ignoring the throbbing headache pounding her temples, as she once again meticulously studied a photograph of the most recent killing. Detail by detail, the scene depicted an exact reproduction/copy (better word?) of all the previous killings. The display, the jaw, the metal… It was identical, with the same message left on the wall… Come find me.
Russel finally broke the silence with an irritated grunt. “We've been at this for hours”, he signed and rubbed his bearded jaw.

I have a higher education diploma with specialization in Graphic Design and Web Technology, which "has/have" given me good knowledge in several programs from the Adobe software library: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Elements and DreamWeaver.

I have a MacBook Pro from 2010 which came with Snow Leopard. Being my first Mac, I've been happy with it and had no problems with it.
Recently I decided to upgrade to Mountain Lion. So I bought a bigger HDD and did a fresh install. Thing is, now the computer does not at all run as smoothly as it did before. It keeps freezing randomly and is just slower in general than it was running Snow Leopard. Not being a very pleasant experience any more, I've instead been running Windows 7 using the Bootcamp feature.
I like OSX, but I don't know if I should stick with Mountain Lion, try and fix it, or reinstall Snow Leopard.
My biggest concern about Snow Leopard though... Is it still safe? Is Apple still releasing security updates, and if so, how long do you think they will continue to do so?
Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I'm going to buy Far Cry 3, but I don't know if I should buy the Standard Edition or Lost Expeditions Edition. Lost Expeditions is a bit more expensive, and contains two extra singleplayer missions (Forgotten Experiment and Ignition In The Deep) and one multiplayer weapon. Has anyone played the singleplayer missions? Is it worth the extra money?

My brother borrowed Mass Effect 2 from me, however we noticed that Mass Effect Genesis (the interactive comic that lets you do the important choices from ME1) does not include on the disc. It comes with Cerberus Network, which as usual is overpriced on PSN. Almost cheaper to buy the game new.

I recently bought ME3 Collector's Edition to PS3 but I’m having problem downloading the soundtrack.
I know you’re supposed to go to social.bioware.com and to “Your registered game content”. However the ME3 Soundtrack is not on that list. Anyone knows what to do? Should I contact EA or Bioware?

I think some of the prices are just ridiculous. Most games on Playstation Store cost two or three times more than they do in other online/physical stores. Sure, when you download a game on Playstation Store you get it right away, but it's just not worth it.
Renting movies on Xbox Live is three times more expensive, if I compare with the subscription I have on Lovefilm, or about twice as much as if I would go to a local video store.
How are the prices where you live?

I'm looking to buy a new receiver and the following two has caught my attention:

So, I have a question about the trophy Oblivion Walker, where you have to collect 15 Daedric artifacts. As I understand, there are only 15 Daedric artifacts in total (16 with Skeleton Key, which doesn't count towards the trophy).
Well, during the quest Walking Nightmare (where everyone in Dawnstar has nightmares) you were given the choice to kill the priest, Erandur. Apparently, you had to kill him to gain the artifact from Vaermina. I didn't kill Erandur, and therefore I didn't get the artifact (Skull of Corruption). I did this quest a long time ago, so there is no way I can play it again.
I can't make a new character with the only purpose to collect these artifacts, because you need to be level 30 to play the quest Boethiah's Calling (where you collect a Daedric artifact). And I don’t feel leveling up to 30 again, it would take way too much time.
My question is, is there any other way I can get this trophy or is all hope lost?
