What do you think of this poem?
The same hands which softly carassed,
now threaten to smash with anger.
The same voice which whispered words of love,
now utters cruel and black phrases.
How can you swing so freely
from "honey" to "*****"?
She cries, angry hands hover over.
"*****" he says.
Leaves her bloody and broken.
Hands that truly love.
Will never hurt.

I like where you have started this. (assuming this is your work). being a publish author, i can give you a few pieces of advice. Poetry is elegant, beautiful, and sometimes cruel, as we can see here. However, you must teach your mind how to grasp poetry before you can write it. This is NOT a bad start at all. The use of metaphors and imagery is KEY. This piece is for the most part black and white. You said exactly what you meant. To give you an example,
((The same voice which whispered words of love,
now utters cruel and black phrases.))
--Change to--
The sound of the heart, whispering pure
Now only slanders with blood soaked anger
This is just something, not great that I changed from your poem. If you notice, the way you use your words leaves the reader to actually take in and imagine and feel what it is your going through. If at anytime you would like some advice, or to join a legitimate poetry website with real authors, send me an email at t.johnston89@yahoo.com.
It's been a pleasure, keep that pen on paper, and I assure you, glory will emerge.

Thats actually a very realistic and sweet poem. I personally love poetry. But harsh and bad words could be avoided, and then it will sound so much more better. But even with that, its very well composed! :) keep it up!
