If you want it for gaming, you'll want a 560ti video card. Pick up any generic RAM that's DDR3, 4 GB total.
After that, spend the rest on motherboard and CPU. Try to find combo deals, since most sites will only make combos out of parts that are compatible with each other. If you want raw power, get Intel CPU/mobo. It's expensive, but worth the money. If you're low on cash, go with AMD. Basically Intel has the stronger processors, but AMD gives you more power per monetary unit spent. You can get an AMD processor with 3/4 the power of an Intel one for half the price, but there might not be an AMD processor that can even match the power for any amount of money, they just don't exist.
I have an AMD X4 Phenom 955 BE and that's fine for me, though you'd probably want to get the 965 now (it's nearly the same price). Any motherboard that fits it is fine.

If you have to ask that, its best to buy one out of the box, why should we do all the research and then you have all the fun building it.?
Anyway someone not honest could give you the wrong information, and you buy all incompatible pieces of kit. if you don't check.
doing the research is part of the learning a swell don,t be lazy, you will never make it in the trade with that attitude.
