Is it possible to have a St Bernard cross Chihuahua?
'Cause for that to happen, the Saint and the Chihuahua would have to... well, 'do it'.
How would that go? 'Cause if you've ever seen a Saint and a Chihuahua together, well, then you'd know that it'd be kinda hard for that to happen.
And what if it's the Chihuahua that's female? Will she even be able to give birth to those puppies?
I'm just wondering.
Be polite.

If the Chihuahua was the female her small size wouldn't allow a St Bernard, he's way too big and she is way too small.
Smaller breeds of dogs will usually give birth to 2-3 pups, however Chihuahuas will commonly give birth to one.
ADD: Plus the Saint Bernard wouldn't be able to obviously get to her due to extreme height differences also. Though if it were possible for a Chihuahua and a St Bernard to mate, then the pup could be way too large for her to birth naturally and will need a c-section.
@ Ch Mickey- Who in their right minds would want to try and play with such a mixing? How odd. Though you are correct on the whole artificial insemination thing.

It is Possible, if the father is a the Chihuahua.
If the Chihuahua is the female then it would most likely die either during the 'process' or when pregnant/giving birth.
My Auntie has a Rottweiler cross Chihuahua
Therefore it is possible for a larger and small dog to breed.

My daughter's boyfriend works with a guy and his Chi just gave birth and the dad was a St. Bernard. She had three pups. He was just telling me about it. The guy has no idea how it even happened. Just thought I would let you all know it's possible....

It would be possible if the Saint was the b*tch and laying down when bred, but highly unlikely that would happen as b*tches stand for breeding during the ovulation period of their Estrus cycle. If the b*tch was the Chi, this would be less likely to happen and she would end up dead anyway if it did.
TC badge in the DS? Hmmmmmm.

The irrepressible urge to mate with an in-season bltch on the critical day will always be there. The Chih female would need to have a ceasarean to give birth. Just saying.... if you have that mix of dogs at home make sure they are neutered.
