Do the mounted honor guard around Queen Elizabeth carry weapons?

When the Queen travels in one of the state coaches there is always a mounted troupe by the carriage. These guys are in really fancy uniforms, so I was wondering: are they just ceremonial, or do they carry weapons and act as part of the Queen's body guard?

I don't know for sure but I bet they are just ceremonial. There are probably enough real weapons you don't see carried by plain-clothed agents and special police units around her that her mounted guard need not worry about carrying real loaded weapons themselves.
