I am thinking about purchasing one. I'm not very computer literate. I just want something simple to read eBooks, check email, and watch some movies while on vacation.

I'm trying to do a knitted trellis cable. The pattern starts out easy enough: In a multiple of 6 stitches p2k2p2 for the number of stitches you are going to work in that pattern.

The instructions for the next row state: Knit the purl stitches and purl the knit stitches from the last row. I'm not sure if they want me to create a stockinette stitch or a garter stitch. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

I'm listening to the Pimsleur basic Spanish course right now. They say to use "castillanyo" instead of "espanol" when referring to the language. From what I remember of my high school and college Spanish, this would be a real gaff - sort of like putting on airs, since Castillians have always been considered (at least by themselves) as Spanish aristocracy.

Who's right? Me or Pimsleur?

Can some one tell me what season and episode had a crabby old woman surviving having her heart catch on fire during surgery?

In the TV series Dexter - I'm I crazy, or weren't Dexter and Debra discovered to be half siblings due to Harry having an affair with his informant (Dexter's mom). This story line just seems to evaporate and we even have Debra realizing that she has been "in love" with Dexter all her life.

Does anybody else remember this?

I would like to know if anyone has tried freezing slices of traditional tortes, such as sacher and linzer tortes with the fruit fillings and ganache glazes. I love baking, but there is no way for a family of two to finish off a whole torte in 2 days.

When the Queen travels in one of the state coaches there is always a mounted troupe by the carriage. These guys are in really fancy uniforms, so I was wondering: are they just ceremonial, or do they carry weapons and act as part of the Queen's body guard?

I was a very little girl when The Doors were on the scene, so I don't remember particulars. I love this band, but I have to wonder, just how did its members avoid being drafted for military service during the height of the Vietnam war?

For health reasons I hope to relocation in a few years once my husband retires. We'd like to find a place that is high up in the mountains with very low humidity. A cooler climate is great, but warm climate with low humidity should work as well. Could any one give me some suggestions on where to look?
