I forget the weights used, but as a kid I was on thid diet for a few years. Dinner was bad enough & once a week I had to have "Boiled Brains", No salt or seasoning allowed. ... But even Worse than that was Every day for Breakfast & for Lunch I had to eat the following. :: 4 Branettes (sort of tasteless wafers) & about 1 Inch of Butter between them like sandwiches. NO Jam or flavouring or anything else. .. Then, I had to drink a half a cup of Cream Mixed with half a cup of water! .... I hated mealtime. It's no wonder that I was a skinny kid. ... But Even Worse,, was when I refused to eat it! The doctor's told mum to break up the branettes & mix everything together, slightly heated like a thin runny sickly porridge. & at school I had to have a thermos full of it, & mum came to the school at lunchtime to make sure I didn't tip it out.:::::::::::::::::::::: EDIT :::::::::::::::: One time I was faced with eating this sickly bowl of stuff at home. .. It stunk as usual, & I knew what it tasted like, & this day I just couldn't bring myself to lift the spoon to eat it. .... Mum hated having to stand there & watch me eat this, but it was like a medicine & she had to. .... Anyway,, I wouldn't eat it, & mum was getting impatient so she said to me,, "Well, You can either Eat it or Wear it." ... I took one look at it, & turned to mum & said "OK, I'll Wear it." ......... With that, mum upended the bowl onto my head & it went everywhere. Then mum told me to go into the bathroom & clean up, & when I get back there'd be a fresh bowl waiting for me. ............. I felt betrayed. I was given a choice, I made my choice & then had to do both,, it just wasn't fair!! ... ( & to this day, both mum & I remember that day very clearly! )

I find it interesting that you mentioned heart and kidney, my dad used to eat both of them too only I was never forced to... for me though I had to eat liver and brussel sprouts (which I happen to enjoy now!). Two others that I couldn't stand as a child and even now as an adult are lima beans and peas, although the sugar snap variety like in Chinese are pretty tasty.

My folks thought it was healthy to eat lots of leafy, green vegetables so when I was young they made me eat "Bas-oy" which is a soup made from different kinds of leaves. The moringga and Ceylon spinach were the worst-tasting. I felt like a goat chewing on those darned leaves..

Oatmeal, oh how I hated it. My aunt started on the announcing consume it or positioned on it, and my mom quickly picked up on that word. for particular me and my cousins wore many bowls of oatmeal the different way up on our heads. It have been given to the factor the place i began pouring the bowl over my own head, theory why positioned off the inevitable. My father did no longer see it that way an he finally gave it to me stable, mom dumped the oatmeal from then on. fairly unhappy in case you question me.
