Quiet asian girl vs quiet black girl?

I go to an international school the majority is Asian #1, Russian, Mexican, Kazakhs, Nigerians, Africans that speak french [Cameroonians, Benin etc]. When an Asian girl is quiet people don't complain and they say it's cute. Maybe they think it's part of their culture, but when I'm quiet [afro-canadian] people are always complaining and asking what's wrong with me. LMBO ! The other asian girls are shy and don't talk sometimes when you talk to them. But when I'm like that they think I'm being rude. I'm not giving a nasty face, I'm smiling most of the time. [I can't help it, especially laughing]. I'm not pulling the race card, I think society has matured from that. She's shy, I'm just quieter. I prefer my words to be sincere. I'm sometimes called a "white girl" because I'm from Canada. White is the minority in all the schools I've gone too. I don't talk like a white girl fo sho[no racism]. Racism isn't correct but I'd love to hear why... :c]

Update:

Don't read this with emotion.

Update 2:

@Hello I think that too, that some are putting on an act because I know a lot of them aren't actually shy. You can just tell. I don't think I'm shy, like I have nothing to say that's it or my thoughts are just jumbled up. God gave me a brain by mistake cuz i don't use it when I speak. LOL. A lot of them can't stop talking then they say they're too shy, if you're really shy don't talk lol.

    I know what you mean.

I don't like talking much unless I have something interesting/important to say or I reeaaallly want to talk to a certain person.

Talking too much usually leads to talk about people's lives (drama), I'm not that kind of girl.

People just like to believe stereotypes are true for every single person in said group.

It's "expected" for a black girl to be loud/outgoing and an Asian girl to be quiet/shy.

haha no I get what you mean. You see I just read another question yesterday from a person being annoyed at Asian girls being too loud. I mean we all can't please everyone jeesh. So take the same advice and ignore those people who complain that you are too quiet. If you don't feel like talking, dont talk. It's not like other people can control your life.

Personally I see no difference between a quiet asian girl or a quiet black girl, I just think oh, they are both shy. Doesn't really offend me or anything. Those people who tell you that it bothers them often are low lives who HAVE to let the world know how they feel. And honestly in the end it doesn't matter. Act how you want to act or what makes you feel comfortable. No reasonable people will blame you or anything for being quiet.

I can understand your situation I'm a shy, quiet Nigerian guy and have been told stuff like I'm too quiet to be Nigerian. Although these comments like the ones I mention aren't said in a bad way. I don't like them cause its as if people categorise some stereotypes simply by colour, race.

But then I also grew up in Britain and since the world is more multicultural, stereotypes on races isn't true as people from all races are probably more likely grow up in a more similar environment/culture.

I think it's just what's labeled by society. What people see turns into stereotypes. However if they're directly from Asia AND shy, I'm putting my money on culture. It's considered being shy to the western eye, but it's also being self-reserved.

Then again I know a few Asian girls who purposely put that shy act on. They think it's cute so they do it.

I just trailed off somewhere...my answer probably doesn't even answer your question lol. :x

Yeah, a lot of people misinterpret my quiteness for being snotty or stuck up. I am a deep thinker so I rarely talk unless it's someone I'm close to. I don't care either way if people think this way, though. As long as they don't disrespect me, I am ok with their feelings.

Because the majority of black females that people see are reluctant and vigorously loud and that's what alot of people are use to seeing them as.But usually just because they see a crowd of blacks that way humanity then automatically jump to the conclusion that all of them are all the same! Just like when someone sees an asian or chinese girl being loud in the store, they automatically question why because they think all of them are extremely quiet, pure, religious and etc, etc! That's just how the world is,and I highly doubt it will ever change!

Stereotypes. Black girls are supposed to be sassy and loud. Asian girls are supposed to be shy and quiet. That's just what people expect. People don't like when you go outside the box.

ERm yh my theory is um ........Buffering.....Buffering.......... Perhaps they are used to the idea of an outspoken, out going , loud black female, that you come off as odd? whilst the Asian shyness/quietness is expected.
