Melendez is a tough, capable fighter that does not do anything extremely well but is just good at everything in general. I would not rate any of his skills as being the best of anyones or better than some of those that he has faced even but he is good at everything in general and that along with his toughness is what makes him a good fighter.

I am not sure there is much of anything left for him to prove with Strike Force but the level of competition in the UFC is technically better at the upper levels especially when we talk about the top four guys. I am not sure that his skill will allow him to do as well there but I do think he should be allowed to take a shot at it anyways. After all its called fighting and that's what Melendez does every time that he gets into the cage. I would enjoy watching him fight most anyone I think even if they might be technically better than him. It would be a classic match-up of a technically better fighter fighting a good, tough fighter who oftentimes finds a way to win.

Josh Thomson kicked his azz in their last fight. Melendez is a dirty fighter. He was constantly poking Josh in the eye, trying to gain an advantage over him when he knew he was getting beat up. When he is up against a decent fighter his fights always go the distance. He is an arrogant punk and the UFC would eat him alive and Dana White knows it.

    In strikeforce absolutely nothing.

He needs to take his *** to the UFC and prove he's the best there
