Ultimate goal is finding a certain movie, but i don't remember enough, instead i need a list of movies?
I don't remember not even one single scene of the movie i'm looking for, it's one of those times where you get this little idea of what the movie was about and maybe an obscure picture, but you can't even remember a single scene in the movie or any actors in it or any details at all, well anyways the only thing i know or think i know was that it's not a "stupid" or "cheesy" movie. It's a movie that both a 10 year old, a 20 year old and a 30 year old, would all like.
It's a movie that takes place in the future, where technology is much more advanced "or so we think" than in today's world, and it also takes place in space, or perhaps multiple planets besides only earth.
But it's not cheesy like predator, or some phony movie like avatar where humans and aliens are sexually attracted to each other.
It's a movie i can ONLY remember if i actually see the name, and perhaps a trailer or something on youtube for it, but i don't remember the name so of course i can't see a trailer for it on youtube.
Anyways consider this a question where people can share their favorite movies with each other and if it happens to have the one i'm looking for (it won't) i'll choose best answer.
I'm asking for a list of movies that:
A. are not confined ONLY to planet earth.
B. manipulation of the human brain, aka memory, emotion (equilibrium movie), personality through technology or drugs.
C. advanced technology or aka "futuristic" setting
D. a movie that very intelligent people would enjoy as well as non-intelligent people (i'm not saying i'm stupid and i'm not saying i'm intelligent)
F. a movie that will "open a persons mind up" a little bit, that will let them escape the crappy or good reality (depending on how you look at life) that we live in briefly while watching the movie, and forget about some problems you have in your life.
G. a movie that you REALLY enjoyed, a movie that you KNOW FOR CERTAIN that basically everyone would enjoy no matter what age.
H. not "fear" based movie not "horror" based movie not "slasher" movie (even if the slasher is an alien). But a list of "inspirational" movies, futuristic based.
I hope i didn't type so much that people are like "i didn't bother reading all that so i decided to just say Thanks for 2 points instead"
I should add
E. movies where the human race tries to create a world with no crime
(except of course it always happens to be the most powerful people who are the criminals in those types of movies)
i don't consider 2001: A Space Odyssey to be an entertaining movie, i think it's boring

i obviously wasn't clear in this question, i made a new one.

I don't have a lot of time to watch anything but "kid" movies now, but Astroboy and Wall.E both have inspirational messages in futuristic settings and kept me interested the whole time. I'll keep thinkin' though.. :)

Do you remember when this "specific movie" came out or when you saw it, because that might narrow it down?
