We don't have any cable cars in New Orleans, but you can buy $3 passes from the streetcar driver as you board the car. Remember to have exact change or they might cost you $5. Riding the streetcar will show you a lot of great things about the city. Hard to say what are can't miss because i don't know your likes but...The French Quarter is a great start. Then, Magazine street, The D-Day Museum, Frenchman Street, The two great parks, St. Charles Avenue, The Julia Street Arts District. The list goes on. One more thing, you might want to head over to the Lower 9th ward and see how slowly it has been rebuilt after Katrina. You never know. You might run into Brad Pitt there. :)

hello , here i search on google for some Don't miss places in New Orleans for a weekend trip and i thought it would be good to share with all of you here ,
New Orleans is a great place to visit! I'm not at all familiar with the hotel you mention. Some areas of town are rather "seedy" so be careful. From the Superdome area you will need to take a cab to Bourbon Street. Driving is not really an option as parking is hard to find.

maintenance corridor is the venue for the main real jazz being performed in New Orleans. in my view, it is going to no longer be neglected. interior reach Pat O'Brien's is a regularly occurring hangout for college young ones and travellers. it quite is friendly and exciting. Do see the Cabildo and St. Louis Basilica. I do strongly recommend which you stay away from going to the non-touristy element of the French Quarter, extraordinarily at nighttime; and bypass to the cemeteries merely north of the French Quarter except you're with a excursion. traditionally, there are 2 ranges of eating in New Orleans: the grand eating places, and the interior reach eateries. I recommend which you are trying the two varieties for the essential New Orleans culinary adventure. For high quality eating, i prefer to advise specially breakfast (quite brunch) at Brennan's, or Antoine's, or Galatoire's. For eateries the Acme Oyster domicile or Liuzza's are ultimate! And no trip there could be finished without café au lait and beignets on the Café du Monde! by the way, i'm a clean Orleans interior reach and lived there until Katrina.

One of my favorite things to do when I go is to ride the cable car into the Garden District, get off when I want and walk around. You can get a pass for $5 that allows you to get off and on, otherwise it's $1.50 everytime you get back on. The passes can be purchased at only certain places (usually convenience stores sell them but I can't remember their names or give you exact locations except one is on Bourbon St.), so ask your hotel.
Go to Cafe DuMonde!
