Does everyone miss having the opportunity to give a thumbs down on answers you don't like?
There are so many insipid answers and I liked being able to express my dissatisfaction by giving a thumbs down, but the powers that be on this site have decided, much like schools have decided, that all answers are worthwhile and no one should be criticized for their stupidity. It's a very liberal attitude and in keeping with the view of Yahoo wouldn't you agree?

It's 1984-ish social engineering: enforced pleasantry. And yes, that is very much a liberal thing.
oklatonola feels abused by the thumbs down option. Get a clue: you give bad answers. Bad answers shouldn't be protected and the "Top Contibutor/ I Don't Have a Life" tag needs to be removed.

Um. I agree that they should put back the "Thumbs Down" option, but this has nothing to do with politics or schools or liberals.

No, I wouldn't agree it's a "liberal" attitude. Liberal believe pesky things like "facts" exist. I'm a raging lefty who hates idiots and enjoys thumbing them down. All this does is help trolls be more disruptive. Way to go moderators.

I do NOT agree with you. IF you had been abused online as Much as I have been FOR THE LAST EIGHT YEARS (I've been on YA less than four years) you would feel vindicated that no one can thumb your answer down WHEN IT IS THE ONLY CORRECT ANSWER just to make all the wrong or non-answers look better. The desktop version STILL HAS THE THE THUMB DOWN BUTTONS.
