Why does Obama want to make it harder for women to find jobs?

"Equal Pay" laws motivate employers to avoid hiring women in the first place.

We'll just hire the white guy to avoid being told what to do by the government.

Update:

You're making my point, Matthew. "illegal anyway"? Maybe, but try to prove it.

Much easier to defend hiring the white guy than getting sued for firing the woman or black guy.

If you make yourself valuable as an employee, you will be treated as such no matter what race or sex you are. At least I know I can fire the white guy if I don't think he's good for the company. I don't have to give the lazy white guy a raise either.

Can the same be said for the lazy black guy or lazy woman? NO! They'll sue.

Better to just not hire them.

Obama does not want anyone to find a job. As long as you can rely on him to exist.

He has a voting base. The minute you stop, He is gone,

The U.S. Department of Commerce proved in an extensive report that the "77 cents for a man's dollar" was a colossal exaggeration and oversimplification that did not account for hours worked, time off or salary negotiations: http://www.consad.com/content/reports/Gender%20Wag...

If I could pay women at my office less for the same product, why the hell would I ever hire a man? Logic evades the gullible my friend.

Does a discriminatory wage gap exist? Yes. Is it anywhere close in size to what liberals claim? Not at all.

Now how many people will TD me, thereby claiming that they know more than the USDOC?

What a ludicrous question.First you speak of employers avoidingg hiring women and then you veer off into a rant about them just hiring whites .

You also need to educate yourself .Women are suffering more in this period because of the jobs they hold .The greatest job losses have been in the public sector especially among teachers where they have a larger proportion of the jobs .The job sectors where men hold a large majority like in the trades,in manufacturing ,the military etc ,proportionately fewer jobs have been lost .

There are other reasons why women have higher unemployment rates and they have nothing to do with Obama .

Ever time I wonder why the country is going down hill ,I read an inane post like yours and realize that ignorance/stupidity and irresponsibility is driving us down .

Why did the GOP Senate just vote down the equal pay act for women?

You would have been popular in the early 1960s before the Civil Rights legislation...
