My computer won't let me watch any videos except for Youtube. Help!?
My computer won't let me watch any videos except for ones on Youtube. I don't know why, so i was hoping if anyone knew the reason. It was fine before I broke it and took it to my uncle to fix it up. When i got it back, instead of going to Google like it usually does, it goes to Bing and instead of my usual homepage it was MSN. I think he reset my whole computer or something, but i can't watch videos from different websites other than Youtube. I'm not a computer genius so i don't know what to do....thanks in advance.

I don't know what your favorite Browser is.
( Google Chrome, Mozilla , Internet Explorer etc... ) But for you to be going straight to MSN when you go on the net, then your probably using Internet Explorer, and need to do this:
Get on-line and open MSN like normal
Up top click on "tools". At the bottom of that list click internet options. In the window near the top you will probably see the address of the page you are on. www.msn.com.
You need to change it, to " http://www.google.com/ " then hit apply.
If you use a different browser to get on, then still go into Tools, then choose Options and change the "homepage address. Then save or apply.

FOR THIS NEXT STEP I AM ASSUMING YOU HAVE WINDOWS 7
For your videos , you need to set the file association to make a default program for opening them.
1 Choose the video you want to open. (don't try to open it yet)
2 Right click on that video file. Now in the window that shows, choose "properties".
another window will appear .
3 look at "Type of file"
4 Now, across from the words "open with" click the "change" tab.
5 Now, from the window of programs, choose one you know will open it. Or browse for the program that you want it to open with.
TIP: If you need to browse for a program , make sure that you click on the .exe cutable file of the program you choose or it's shortcut (.lnk)
For example: a text ends in .txt & the file would open with notepad
A .zip file would open with a program like winzip
A .doc file would open with a document program like Word.
