What do you think a reasonable amount of money to charge for a 13 year old to babysit?

I am 13. My friend and I are starting to babysit. We would like to know what is a reasonable amount of money to charge per hour? She thinks it should be around two dollars. I think it should be more around 5 or 6 dollars.

I admire the will to work, but in my country it is not even legal for a 13-year old to stay home alone. The set age for that is 14. so babysitting is out of the question really.

you are responsible for lives when you babysit...i always find it hard to put a 'price' on that.

It depends. If it's your family it should be a few dollars. If it's not it should be 5-10 dollars.
