I stepped on my Hamster by accident?! (10points)?
Hello. This is an EMERGENCY!!!
I accidently stepped on my hamster. She's a Russian Dwarf hamster. I'm in a panic. After I stepped on her, she sounded like mad and made SOUNDS. Do you think I broke her ribs? I was so scared and worried. Well...because she made those GRR sounds. What should I do?

How hard did you step on her? Well I am almost positive most of that is just shock. Imagine if you were stepped on by something like 100x bigger than you, you'd be pretty surprised too. The best thing to do right now is watch her. If she isn't wanting to eat or drink, and she isn't playing take her to the veterinarian. If she is playing and eating and drinking she should be fine. But make sure to watch her for about a day so you don't have any false alarms.
I hope this helped!

It depends on how hard you stepped on her. If you stepped on her but noticed right away id say nothings wrong, she was just in shock. But if you like stepped on her then noticed and looks like something is wrong (such as her not moving or making a lot of sounds) then something is wrong. Id wait maybe a day & if she doesnt move or seems to be struggling with anything take her to a vet

How is she breathing? Any blood on the nose? Is able able to move properly? Gasping for air?
If she is gasping for air and can't walk you might have crushed her ribs and spine... there is no hope for her
Don't let her suffer, if you see all of the above, the best thing is to humanly put her down.
Brown paper bag... place her in it and .. place in freezer for an hour.. Its the nicest pay to put down a rodent...

Ok, for starters she made the noises BECAUSE YOU STEPPED ON HER, that's it
I would check on her, but you'd be surprised at how much dwarfs hamsters can handle.

take her to the vet first thing tomorrow or tonight if it's open. I dropped my hamster from 2 ft. and she died, so better safe then sorry.
