Money does not exist. It's only an idea people came up with to make bartering simpler. They took metal, shaped it into coins - or used lups of gold or silver - to exchange for goods and services. Later on paper was used to make notes of promise to the monetary value of [whatever]. But those remain pieces of paper, coins of amalgum or ingots of gold or silver! There is no such thing as money! You can't pick money up and say, "Here is money!" You can only pick up bits of paper, or bits of metal!

God does not hate that which does not exist. But He knows full well what humans have devised and how it operates, especially in their hearts! That's why the Bible says that it is the LOVE of money that is a root of all sorts of injurious things. Not money per say, because money does not exist! Yet the love of something which does not actually exist can corrupt people's hearts and lure them away from devotion to God!

Material things are something else. God created a material universe with loads of material 'stuff' on our planet Earth, for us to benefit from. God declared His material creation to be good, and very good in the case of mankind. All God's works are perfect and His material work is also included in this. God owned His material creation. God's qualities are seen in it and leave us without excuse.

Again, material things can come between sinful humans and God, if they start to live for material things and adore them. Materialism can become an idol, just as money can. That is why Moses warned the Israelites, "When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day. Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied, then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God...

"You may say to yourself, 'My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me'. But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant..." (Deuteronomy 8:10-18)

That shows there's nothing wrong with good food, fine houses and large herds etc - just so long as we credit God with that, and not ourselves! God has to have the priority in everything, and then God is pleased with our use of money and material things - if we use them for God's glory and not for our own aggrandizement. They must never be allowed to become idols.

If you read in the Bible, and all the old religious texts, you will find a conflict between God and money. That is because of a secret kept by the alchemists, known to Jesus and other Masters, that there is a formula to make a kind of potion that can heal and perform many miracles - it essentially contains the breath of God in physical form. Problem is, that potion (the Philosopher's Stone and Elixir of Life) can also make gold from other metals. It can make silver as well. Gold has been the money standard for thousands of years, and was in the United States. Now, why do you think that was?

The reason the secret is kept so well is that anyone who knows it faces a choice: God or money. That is why it is said that money is the root of all evil. It has turned people away from God. Mary Magdalene anointed Jesus' feet with it, before he was crucified, and Judas argued about the pieces of silver that could be obtained instead. But it isn't just any "money" that has turned people to the wrong way, it is gold. Gold is the false God, that is why it is spelled with an L.

According to Qur'an God commands us to enjoy the things that He has provided for us. Dress up, smell nice all those things. Not only that but God promises us the garden which river flows where we shall eat fruits, and there shall be flowing milk and honey. Women would wear long beauitful silk dresses and brocade(gold belt) basically jewellery.

In the Binle God promises the believers that shall inherit the earth. In the Qur'an God promises us Land.

Therefore God does not hate material thing if He's going to use them as apart of His rewards to us. Right?

BUT God says the best of reward is His pleasure. So that the reward we should strive for. This is a spiritual reward and this shows that the spiritual reward is way more superior than the material reward.

All matter in the universe was originated from an infinite/eternal/God, thus God does not 'hate' material things because he created them. It is the act of evil is what goes against the nature of God (God is love and justice)

Merely our consciousness, life and death is an illusion and we are actually one and unified to everything and everything as we and all is interconnected. Divisions such as race, nations and religion is too the greatest illusion.

No. He just doesn't want us to make money and material things the main focus in our lives as the following verses shows:

Also I say to you, make friends for yourselves by means of the unrighteous riches, so that, when such fail, they may receive you into the everlasting dwelling places. The person faithful in what is least is faithful also in much, and the person unrighteous in what is least is unrighteous also in much. Therefore, if you have not proved yourselves faithful in connection with the unrighteous riches, who will entrust you with what is true? And if you have not proved yourselves faithful in connection with what is another's, who will give you what is for yourselves? No house servant can be a slave to two masts; for, either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stick to the one and despise the other. You cannot be slaves to God and to Riches.

Now the Pharisees, who were money lovers, were listening to all these things, and they began to sneer at him. Consequently he said to them: "You are those who declare yourselves righteous before men, but God knows your hearts, because what is lofty among men is a disgusting thing in God's sight."

no, just that man's heart can love money and material things and He is a jealous God and wants the love to be all for Him. Money is nice and material things are lovely, but not to be coveted, not to be yearned for above the passion for God.

the love of money is the root of all evil.

He only hates the LOVE of money and material things. It hurts the person and others around him. Our current economy situation is living proof of that.

Read 1 Timothy 6:10 in your bible.

No, I don't think he hates them, but I think he just wants people to serve him and not their possessions. He wants to be first in people's lives.

    The Bible says:

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." Matthew 6:24

As God, if he really hated them, he could make them disappear or something :P

    hope this helps :) x

Money is not a sin, "the love(commitment of focus to) of money" in a sin.

Material things are not wrong, the shallow focus of belief and trust being put upon mere material things is.

God is not real. God was created for law and order, to give people a reason to be good. To put the fear into people to force them to behave. That's where the saying comes from 'To put the fear of god into you'

Someone else said it makes "him" jealous, but how? IF god is real and all powerful, he would not get jealous. And surely if "he" was real, there would be no pain and suffering, no rape or murder, no stealing or anger!

When religion came to rise, there was no law and order in place, people would go round raping and pillaging! They wanted it stopped so made up god, to make people think that if they did not behave they would suffer in hell!

This "religion" is not needed any more. We have proper law and order in place.
