Are the constant revisions of GDP growth and unemployment rates by the Obama administration comical by now?
You know it's going to happen, after the initial claim, the figures are inevitably downgraded (with very little fan fare)...
And, even knowing that the numbers are inflated by half truths and outright lies to hide the dismal growth and the reality of the actual + 14% unemployment rate, liberals still try to cite the crap statistics in defense of their messiah...
@ Wednesday - Are you daft? It has nothing to do with what I want to believe, the Obama administration has habitually released information on jobless rates, etc... That are later amended to show poorer results, the later revision occurring as quietly as possible - Are you okay with being lied to and patronized?

Well, having an economy with $800 billion in stimulus along with $2 trillion in Fed monetary expansion that only produces 1.9% GDP is actually difficult to do. I mean when you think about it, you could almost be intentionally trying to fail and produce better results.

Except the unemployment rate is not revised except in December to reflect better seasonal adjustment. The Jobs numbers (from a different survey than unemployment) are revised and so are Unemployment Insurance claims, both due to late reporting. Same thing with GDP...revised as better data comes in. And no, it's not always downgraded...the revisons go both ways. Because of the nature of UI claims, those are almost always revised upward, but Jobs and GDP can and do go both ways.

I go by the BLS. They usually corrincide the info on the dot compared to Department of Labor. However there is no Executive Branch appointee at the BLS

So if the numbers reflect good for us, you conclude its a lie?
Anything positive for our country must be false.
Sure sounds like a Patriot to me.
