What would it cost to hire a lawn service to apply fertilizer and weed control to my lawn?
My yard is about 40,000 square feet in total. It's getting large amounts of crabgrass and clover. A little clover wasn't bad, but now its completely overwhelming some whole sections of my yard. About what would it cost to have a lawn service spray fertilizer and weed control? And how many times should they do it in a year?
I live in rural iowa if it matters.

150-200 bucks per one application..they want to do a minimum of 3..early spring, summer, late fall...they bring the price down a bit if you sign up for the 3 applications

You in no way bag grass, The clippings include nitrogen which vegetables the grass up. The weed and feed needs to be applied when the grass is wet and it can't be rained on or watered for a couple of days otherwise it does nothing. For those who use a typical fertilizer with out the weed manage and you utilize a liquid weed manipulate and spray it on the weeds it will be more potent in view that it soaks into the plant rapid.

It's been awhile since I had mine done, but what the first poster wrote, sounds about right.
And it is SO worth it! I moved to a place where I can't get that service here, and I MISS it!
