Sure that's fine. Im not sure where people get the idea that kids have to be 4. Many preschools start their preschool program at 2 years and 9 months. 31/2 is perfectly fine, I have worked in preschool for many years and many kids started around 3 or so. We even take kids younger then 2 but that's not a direct part of the preschool program. I have had 3 year olds that do great and have had 4 year olds that are to immature, all kids are different

Most preschools educate children who are ages 4 to 5. Your daughter would not be developmentally ready to keep up in preschool. A major milestone is being potty trained. I don't know if she is, but preschool kids have to be able to wear regular underwear and ask to use the bathroom when they need to. They also cover many educational milestones such as writing numbers, letters, and their name's. Even if your daughter is genuis smart, I don't think it would be fair to her overall to put that kind of pressure on her. You only get to be a kids once, let her play! Good luck.

Some preschools include half day programs for three years old to expose them to preschool and to prepare them for preschool. I think a school that has a program specifically for your child's age would be beneficial and a good way to observe if your child is ready for preschool.

No, she'll need to wait until she's 4. Do try to prepare her in the mean time though, it's never too early.
