  • root canal infection?

Beginning of last month I had a root canal. Prior to it the infection on my gum was about the size of my pinky finger nail. Afterwards it went down pretty fast to about a quarter of the size, then it stopped. I got antibiotics for 5 days and it went away. Then 3 days after I stopped a tiny white pimple like bump appears. Lasted about a day then vanished. A few days after that it came back, and was gone by morning. Any ideas? The dentist is giving the wait and see approach

  • Computer suddenly says there is no wireles adaptor?

Had the thing for three years w/o a problem. Installed a Motorola modem went to change the security settings and suddenly it cut out telling me there was no wireless. The connection box says "The settings saved on this computer for this network, do not match the requirements of the network" When I tried to hook up to the internet. I had to hook the computer up to the ethernet cable to get it to work. have had problems with the internet cutting in and out lately when it stopped working. I thought it was the router/modem which wouldn't work even with the cable, so I tried another one. Which is working so far. Do wireless adapters die out? Not sure whats up. Computer is an HP Pavilion desktop if that helps

  • State Inspection Mechanic?

Until recently I had never heard of such a thing, the requires you to get some inspection every year. What exactly do they do and what does it cost? Is this another "Big Brother" thing set by the government? Does it really help reduce any problems?

  • Type of cooling system?

I live in a apartment and Iam looking to either buy a small air conditioner or a portable evaporative cooler. I have seen prices for some that are pretty close. The cooler would be good to move around, though Iam not sure of how well it cools compared to a air conditioner. Iam looking to cool off the livingroom/kitchen area, its not that big a space. Any ideas which would be best at cooling most efficiently

  • Alcohol and caffine when pregnant?

I have a coworker who is pregnant. SHe tells me her doctor said it was ok to drink a glass of wine once in a while. And a few sips of beer was ok to. She also drinks massive amounts of caffeine(coffee and soda and such) Never have been pregnant, so Im not sure, but I always thought alcohol was a big no no, and caffeine was to be very restricted, She often says how much the baby kicks and moves after she drinks coffee or soda. That's all she will really drinks, she hates the taste of water. Kinda wonder how the baby sleeps, and if that's why she is sick and miserable all the time.Anyone else ever have a doc say they can do these things?

  • Should we replace the American government with preschoolers and baboons?

they surely would do better. Call each other names and throw things at each other, then be done with it. The baboons could run congress, since they are already good at throwing sh** and they sounds they produce make about as much sense.

  • Is air conditioner considered a "luxery item" in CA?

I live in a apartment and its very hot the ventilation is not great. I only have the front door, porch, and small bedroom window to open. Its getting hotter and fans will do only so much. Last year management promised people without air conditioners that they would get them, but they never came. Now this year the company is saying the same thing. I live in apartments that receives government funding for lower income people.

  • An accent where there shouldn't be one?

Being born and raised in CA I wouldn't expect to have a "british type accent" Yet ever since I was a young child people have asked where my accent is from, or what country Im from, or my favorite where in England am I from. I have never even been to England. I don't know anyone from England Family and friends say my voice is kind of different, not british, but "more british like then it should be" I hear my voice in recordings and it sounds a bit different but I don't know I would say foreign accent different. Heck today I had to separate people in two different places ask me this. The thing is its almost always a british accent people think the hear. I got Australian a couple times. Anybody ever heard of this, its just odd. lol

  • anyone know the name of this book?

All i know is it took place in the future with archeologist's digging up the remains of the USA and they don't know what to make of what they find. I believe they thought the Statue of Liberty was a religious icon. This book came out decades ago.
