A black hole is a region of spacetime where gravity prevents anything, including light, from escaping. The theory of general relativity predicts that a sufficiently compact mass will deform spacetime to form a black hole. Around a black hole there is a mathematically defined surface called an event horizon that marks the point of no return. It is called "black" because it absorbs all the light that hits the horizon, reflecting nothing, just like a perfect black body in thermodynamics.Quantum mechanics predicts that black holes emit radiation like a black body with a finite temperature. This temperature is inversely proportional to the mass of the black hole, making it difficult to observe this radiation for black holes of stellar mass or greater.

Black holes existence was first said by Einstein according to general relativity, black holes are termed as the object which is having so much mass which can make a hole in space and time this makes it black where light is lost for ever this is due to the huge mass which it gets from at least 4 times bigger than the sun like star here unlike our star after the super nova the rest mass will be compressed into a single point or radius which has so much gravity to bend space and time that even light cant escape usually there are two types of black holes they are black holes and super massive black holes.Super massive black holes are said to in cent of the galaxy such as spiral galaxy's such as our own milky way which has so much gravity in it that the whole of the galactic star's will revolve around it another topic related to this is worm holes, worm holes are said to be part of black holes where the time and space twist and this may lead us tho far far places or it may take us the past or future.

  • Objects with mass cause gravity. With enough mass an object will crush itself down into a tiny point, it may be smaller but it still has the same huge mass and it has so much gravity that if passing light gets too close it falls into it.

As a result a certain area around the mass appears black, because no light that passed nearer can reach our eyes (or telescopes). This is what a black hole is. Its not really a hole at all, but it looks like one.

They integrate right into a unmarried black hollow. the two black holes integrate to make the "new" black hollow, this is a mix of the two. Their adventure horizons fuse. particular, the effect of two black holes colliding is a bigger black hollow. The radius of the hot black hollow is approximately the sum of the radii of the two unique black holes. yet black holes are rather small---even a black hollow that has eaten an entire galaxy is smaller than the image voltaic gadget. If the Universe maintains to strengthen (as is predicted), then there is not any way that the great volume of the Universe ought to be taken up with the aid of black holes.

A black hole is a place in space where gravity pulls so much that even light can not get out. The gravity is so strong because matter has been squeezed into a tiny space. This can happen when a star..

  • A black hole is a region of spacetime where gravity prevents anything, including light, from escaping. Acc. to current theory -The photons will either fall into the singularity, or the light will orbit just inside the event horizon indefinately .

When the Core of heavy Stars (about 1.5 times bigger then Sun) is Compressed by Gravity of A big burst then a region is forms whose gravity is so much strong that it can absorb even light. It is something like your having so much matter in a tiny place like having earth in a size of Marble.

A simple definition for a black hole is: "any object that has an escape velocity equal to or greater than the speed of light".

If a black hole could exist it would be a 2 solar mass sphere 3 km in diameter with the surface gravity such that the surface orbital velocity would be the speed of light
