If we assume London to be anywhere inside the M25 then the cheapest, grottiest area is probably the Purfleet or Dagenham area of Essex. Even there a grotty 2 bedroom flat on the 14th floor of a block is about £500 per month. Right now you could probable get a 125 year lease on it for about £85,000, not a great idea though.

About 200,000 pounds. Highly depends on the area.

Probably more than that in the majority of areas.
