No ID for domestic flight?

I don't have a valid for of ID for my domestic flight because my only form of identification is expired. Will I be able to fly? If so, how early should I arrive to allot time for the "secondary screening" that I have read might happen if they allow me to fly. Also, I have a ticket that takes me from one airport, then to JFK, and then to my location. If i get through at the first airport, will I have to go through the same struggle at JFK?

"Adult passengers, 18 and over, are required to show a valid U.S. Federal or State-issued photo ID that contains a name, date of birth, gender, expiration date and a tamper-resistant feature. A passenger that refuses to provide any ID and will not cooperate in the identity verification process will not be allowed to enter the screening checkpoint. If you lose your primary ID or it has expired, TSA may accept other forms of ID to help verify your identity."

"Minor children (younger than 18) are not required to provide an ID at the airport security checkpoint. They will just need their boarding pass." FOR DOMESTIC FLIGHTS ONLY!

You need valid current ID for every flight. You are supposed to arrive at the airport 2 hours before any flight, and that would cover any additional screenings you might have to go through.

I'm not sure they will let you on without valid ID. Anyway, once you are through security in one airport, unless you exit security at the next airport to smoke or something, you don't have to go back through at the connecting airport. I travel a fair amount.

No, you need a valid ID. If you don't have one, you can't fly. No exceptions.
