dose prednisone make you gain weight?
the Dr put me on 50mg for 7 days than 40 mg for 7 days and so on till i get to 1/2 mg for 7 days i will be on them for like 49 days is that normal ?

you must have an inflammatory illness…taking prednisone in those doses may cause water retention ONLY if you eat a normal salty, american higher in fat/carbo diet. If you go low fat, lo carb, lo sodium you should not gain water weight. On the other side, prednisone has been known to stimulate people's appetite. So, if you overeat due to that side effect, yes, you will gain weight.
