How do you grow a wisteria vine on a swing set?
We bought one vine. Do we need 4 to plant on all the ends or will one cover the whole top by itself? I read that it was pretty invasive so I thought that one would be fine. Also, do you think I need to cover the swing set with wires, or will the wisteria be able to climb it without wires? Thanks!

one should be plenty but you might have to be patient for a couple of years. no, don't put any wire on it, just use tree tape to tie the plant to the swing to train it. then later, you can remove the tree tape once the wisteria gets it's hold.

if you want instant gratification, you could plant scarlet runner beans at the other 3 places to provide a nice temporary vine with pretty flowers. that way you'll have something right away but it won't interfere with you're future plans for the wisteria, since it dies in one season.
