Is my pokemon a shiny pokemon?
So I was playing pokemon gold and at the lake of rage or whatever it's called, and I caught the red gyarados according to the storyline, and I think it might be shiny. If it is does everyone get a shiny pokemon at this point(sounds noobish I know), and would it be kinda like getting a shiny starter, but less rare? Here's the picture: http://tinypic.com/r/2cqjxc5/6

The Red Gyarados is a shiny, and always is a shiny in all of the gen 2 games and their remakes.

Yea, the red Gyarados is a shiny Pokemon.
And most of the time, yes people do get a shiny Pokemon by that point but there is a rumor about a gold Gyarados which i do not believe in.
It is barley like getting a shiny starter. It takes hundreds of Sr (soft resets) to get a shiny starter, and this they basically give to you, the only way you do not get it is if you run or kill it.
However, in the show it added the red Gyarados as a Magicarp that was forced to evolve and for that reason it kept it''s original colour.

No,it is not.....the possibilities of having a bright pokemon are a million to 8734,dude!i'm sorry yet shop hatching eggs!I as quickly as caught a bright banette and day after at present a bright eevee hatched so as you will discover you are able to never comprehend once you will get one!

I think it's shiny! http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Red_Gyarado... and nope shiny pokemon are rare so not everyone gets one.
