What should I flavor my rice with?
I have jasmin rice and we are having chicken maranated and cooked with spices (it's a secret) and cooked in Italian dressing, and steamed veggies. What should I put in the rice to make it interesting? I do lemon dill all the time so I want to try something new. Please help, be nice, and thanks :)

Number one secret to flavorful rice: using chicken or beef broth instead of water!
Since you're making chicken, I'd go with chicken broth. Add in a few herbs that will go with the spices of the chicken and some garlic powder (before adding rice), salt and pepper to taste (after cooking!), a little butter (before serving) and VOLA! Totally amazing, everyone I make it for falls in love with it.

Lemon dill is exciting!
If you're doing italian then I recommend tumeric (half a teaspoon, before it starts boiling).
The rice will turn yellow, the lemon dill with be less distinct but will add another level of acidity and magnificence to the food.

Use chicken broth instead of water to match up with your chicken and infuse some saffron and scallion greens for extra flavor (which will compliment the spices) and add a rich yellow color to the rice.

Prepare the rice with chicken broth instead of water. When done, add finely grated parmesan cheese, finely minced fresh basil (or dried basil if fresh isn't available), olive oil and some black pepper.

I think jasmin rice tastes divine by itself! Have you ever tried it? If not, you should. :)
