I was astonished to learn this today. I find it disturbing. Our education system already falls way behind MANY other countries. How will personal signatures change?

I have two. I would like to have witnessed a Brian Eno and Queen collaboration. I would also like to see Robin Guthrie and Elizabeth Fraser make another Cocteau Twins album. They, too, are sorely missed.

I asked about 12 people at work this question and I was amazed that I got 8 yes answers. I have even done it. One guy at work called his girl two different names in the same night. He actually regretted it as it was someone he had feelings for, but they'd been drinking.

Anyhow, have you ever done this? What happened?

With profuse apologies to the squirrel agent. My family on the Kentucky side hunted and ate squirrel and I have fond memories of my grandmother frying up squirrel for breakfast. Since I grew up in Europe where no one eats squirrels, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I felt like I was doing something "American." Through my life, whenever I have discussed eating squirrel, I've garnished all kinds of reactions from total revulsion to appreciation from kindred spirits. Suddenly it didn't seem so American as much as pioneer-like. So what are your thoughts on eating squirrel?

Did you feel vindicated? I had this situation just in the past week, but what was crazy about it was that it was a question I asked and resolved 2 years ago.

So are the trolls just f-ing around or are they reminding me that I'm dealing with an automated program (no humans needed) until a crisis (albeit a small one) occurs? What do you think is going on here and what has been your experience?

I live in southern Alabama. There is a TV commercial here by Western Sky who will make a signature loan of $10,000.00 in a day if you qualify. I took time to read the small print at the bottom of the screen and when you finish paying this loan off, you will have paid this entity back in excess of $61,000.00. In my humble opinion I find this outrageous and my question for you is why is this legal? Last I checked loan sharks were jailed. These loans obviously line some pockets but do nothing for the common good. Maybe I just don't know enough about finance. Intelligent answers only please. Answers like "You don't have to take the loan" is dodging my point. I could use some schooling here.

I just got voted a BA on a question I answered 2 years ago. How crazy is that? Do these questions ever fall away after a certain period of time?

Every now and again, I'll see a posting with a picture of some sort. With the picture are instructions that go something like Click "like" and wait five seconds and see what happens. Or "Type 5 and see what happens." Anyhow, to date, NOTHING ever happens. What's the story here? If nothing happens then why make the posting? Can someone enlighten me? Thanks in advance.

My mother always makes fried carrots. They are shredded and fried in butter and bacon, and seasoned only with salt, pepper, and just a bit of sugar. I have not seen this dish anywhere else and I don't know where she got the recipe. Whenever I tell people about it, never has anyone said "Oh, I know that." But when they try the fried carrots, they love them. I know this isn't exactly an exotic dish, but after 30 years of eating them, I've not seen them anywhere else.

What unusual dish do you look forward to at Christmas? It can be exotic, or even a different technique on something completely familiar.
