Should education be banned?

You have oddly worded this question... Ban education, as in making it so that there are no public schools? Legislatures have effectively done that by not funding them, if this is what you are hinting at.

People make choices, and ban it themselves---- or the legislatures in the states effectively make it worthless. The drop out rate of 7th and 8th graders in large cities with slums is horrific. And in this country, (the US) 30% of entering grade 9 kids never finish grade 12 and graduate. And we aren't even counting the 7th and 8th grade drop outs!!!!!!!

In modern times, it has never been lower.

True, unusual to finish high school when my grand dad was teaching it.... and most folks before World War 11 were only high school graduates, if that.

But since the 1950's, most every kid graduated high school. Our country ranks somewhere near 43rd in the world among kids taking tests in subject such as math, reading, comprehension, etc.

Look at the writing on here. Absolutely horrible, even with a spell checker. Lots don't even know that "i" doesn't even exist in English.

We used to teach classes in middle schools and high schools, called, "marriage and the family" where kids actually took care of babies, and did have to discuss a problem as if they were married.

We no longer do that.

So girls have this dreamy idea that, "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, babies.... I want one".... as if it were the latest fashion accessory.

Education ought not to be banned...........ignorance ought to be.

Even if it means we take kids away from parents and put them in 24/7 care with capable institutions.

They can watch dad beat the hell outa mom on weekends.

If education is banned Religion will hold control the world

Tyrants generally don't like education.

Plus they don't see the point.

They plan on getting labour from these people.

Why do they need grammar, and numbers and ideas (especially ideas) to start filling their heads?

Bad education should be frowned upon, and good education should be encouraged. And by good and bad, I'm referring to the method, not the material. (Even though we have to decide what is a good or bad method anyway.)

Education doesn't lead to anything but godless liberal communists and baby killing, no sandwich makin, feminists.

Never, its the key to progress.
