The Question: Who will be first to 200 wins?
Tim Hudson or Roy Halladay? Which will notch their 200th victory first? Halladay has 192 career wins, Hudson stands at 185. Keep in mind that Halladay is injured for the next at least month and a half, and that Hudson was scratched from his start due to bone spurs. Make a logical statement on why your choice will reach 200 wins first.
BQ: Do you think either of these players will reach the Hall of Fame?

Roy Halladay. Hudson is 15 wins away from getting 200 wins. That would give him 19 wins at most by the end of the season. I just don't think he can do that. I think Halladay has a better chance at getting 8 wins when he comes back.Hudson hasn't been great this year as he has an ERA of 3.90.
BQ: I would say Halladay has a chance. Both have less than 2,000 strikeouts, but Halladay is 10 strikeouts a way from 2,000. If he could get to 2500 strikeouts or more, I think he could be a borderline HoFer at best.

In both cases that could be a struggle and might occur next season....probably Doc Halladay to get those 8 wins ahead of Hudson.
Hudson is turning 37 and although he's pitching well, he has no realistic shot at the HOF...mostly because of injuries, his win total is too low.
Halladay might be tapering off....he needs the 200 plus 60-70 more wins to get consideration....at this point, it's about 40/60 against him.
Sabathia will make 200 early next season....he also has an outside chance at the HOF.

Roy Halladay for sure and yes who ever notches their 200th victory will make the hall of fame.

Roy Halladay will. When he comes back from his injury he'll be back to normal. As of right now, he's not experiencing any pain and he's healing.
