    The Beatles who first used the 'Apple Logo' for the company they formed in the 1960's. There was lots of controversy when an electronics company named itself the Apple Corporation and used a similar logo to the one the Beatles had created. Eventually Apple Corporation had to change to the one they use now. The Beatles 'Apple Corps' was a play on words as the word 'Corps' is pronounced 'core' when used in army terms and van also be construed as 'Corporation'.
