Driveshaft removal for a 1948 Dodge Pickup?

I need to know the steps in removing a drive shaft from a 1948 1/2 Ton Dodge Pickup (2-wheel drive). Thank you for the help!

    Take the 4 bolts out of the Ujoints & then pull it out

    As above said,but if you are putting the same one back on,mark

    the ujoints with small file, sos that they go back on in the same position

    other wise can get vibrations if you dont,also place a floor jack under while doing it

    near the center helps alot.

    you need to drop the rear of the drive shaft then pull the yoke out of the transmission ! loosen the rear u-joint, separate it from the pinion gear but watch you don,t loose the bearing caps and then pull it out of the transmission !
