How much of a tip to take?

How much of a tip should I add for customers who forget to write anything on their credit card slips? I've been adding 15% but some people say 20% is better.

Settle in the middle at 17%. But, for larger orders, do 20 or 25%

It's not stealing. If they don't want to leave a tip, they cross out the tip box.

You should not be adding anything that is stealing. If the tip portion was left blank, leave it blank.

Do not add your own tip that is stealing!!!!!!!! If they wanted to tip you they would have. If someone did that to me I would report it to the bank as theft and have charges filed!!!!!

hahahha please clarify, you are writing in your own tip on the bill because the customer left it blank?
