Senior Citizen's remember the Old Little Rascals that were shown on TV in the 50's and 60's?

With Spanky, Alfalfa, Bucketwheat, Cotton, Darla, Whitey, etc. not the new tv one but the old black and white Our Gang movies that we all watched. I watched them all the time.

I am talking to real Seniors now not those who are in high school.

ha ha I wasn't a senior citizen when I watched them my gang was a funny series all those kids played well and the trouble they got into led to explosive laughter It brought me a ray of sunshine when I watched them. Obviously I fell in love with Darla she seem so poised but Alfalfa and Buckwheat were my favorite. Thanks for rekindling a great memory.

I met Richard Boone (palladin) when I was a kid-he was at a fund raiser to raise money to send kids to camp. I thought he was the ugliest man I had ever seen. I always liked Dan'l Boone 'cause he kilt a baar-down in the holler!!! Sky King had a pretty teen-age niece named Penny. There was also Bat Masterson and The Big Valley which was a rip-off of Bonanza. There was a show called Jesse James The actor who played him had a pompadour from the early 60's and was totally unbelievable as a cowboy.

  • There's a NEW Little Rascals??? Good grief. That is the most depressing thing I've heard this year. What's next? A NEW Charlie Chaplin? A NEW Roy Rogers? A NEW Howdy Doody? A NEW Elvis? A NEW Mickey Mouse?

@ S: The dog's name was Petey, not Bullseye. Sheesh.

Yes, I watched them. Most of the "shorts" were done in the late 1920's and early 30's but were in re-run syndication by the time I was watching them. Watched the # Stooges at the same time which was also in re-run syndication by then although they did have some full length movies I think in the late 50's.

Sure. Spanky had a restaurant in Tulsa when I was a kid, I ate there several times. They were grown by the time I came along but I saw all the comedies growing up.. Lived them. Alot if them led sad lives and died early.. Sad.. Stooges too.

I loved them and I would certainly watch them again if they would show decent TV again.

a movie was made in 1994 which was VERY good and I really enjoyed it. They had the characters down very well. I've always liked Alfalfa best.

Yes they were shown here in the 80's, one of my daughter's favorite programs. Such simple themes for a children's show...when they tried to do a movie not too many years it wasn't near the same as the original.

When I was a child,I enjoyed them. But sadly,I have outgrown the story lines. From a historical standpoint, this series gives a look into what our parents lives were like.

But,being somewhat of one who appreciates antique cars,I enjoy seeing the older vehicles.

I watched them daily as a youngster & loved them. Once in a while, I'll see them on tv & I have to sit down & watch them. They were all special in their own way.☺
