With Microsoft Outlook will I lose saved emails when changing email address?

I am cancelling my service provider and getting another email address from the same provider but a separate account. I want to continue using outlook and wish not to lose all of my saved emails. Are there any steps that need to be taken?

Why anyone would even use outlook is beyond me. Consider the fact that when you open outlook, EVERY drop of mail, spam, infectious emails IS downloaded into your PC before you even read it. Stick with a web based email server. You can see what you get BEFORE you download it. If you want to view your email coming into your ISP, go to the website.

a million. Open outlook and click on report/import and export 2. click on Export to a report/next 3. click on Comma Separated Values (residing house windows)/next 4. go with Contacts/next 5. call the report/next 6. Map custom Fields if wanted and then click end.

As long as emails were downloaded to your computer (POP3 account setup, vs. "IMAP"), you'll be fine. Here's how to backup your entire Outlook profile, for Outlook 2007:
