what are you looking for when you post your poetry on Yahoo answers?

a poem of sorts that may well be pulled out of a broken pot

validation
with trepidation the poet 
or student stepped up
to the podium
shaking in fear or self doubt

pasted his post it and peered at the screen 
wondering if his dots would be seen
as squiggles with lines in between
or a worm 
with a bird tugging gently
while her babies 
overhead
cried out in hunger feed us oh mama
feed us 
Squawk - squawk 
in a tree in the distance
I hear a repeat as cat bird mocks

on my deck lounging a cat 
with whiskers 
twitching

oh yes the question
what was it?

what are you looking for
do you want to be noticed 
do you want be the next 
poet laureate 
(of yahoo?) 
or what?

I just wondered when Yahoo Answers became a poets emporium 
with all the influx of muscle removing the blemish of us
the would be literate
literary
lax 
who just want to get answers from those just like us 

I do not see sponsors 
or editors, Doctors, or Lawyers, just posers 
you can be what you want
whatever it is you want to be, 
sick with any malady
dying of cancer
or exotic dancer, from the comfort of your custom 
throne
all alone 
in a room where you 
become

who you are in your 

nightmare

oh so 
what is it you are looking for and do you think you will find it here or have you done so already?

when i post i want honest criticism and  correction  for improvement. i dont want insults and some  cruel person  putting me down because i will report . if i wanted cruelty i would be with my  ex husband. and  no not any more  can  that be found here.

When you are "on your game" which is usually the case, you weave words so well.

What do I look for, hmm?

Accolades are nice of course
but learning and growing
through the poetry family
has always been my plotted course,
even when I am off course, often
by some external force.
Beyond that, I've become, through grace
to explore the senses I still have, entangled
in the roots and branches of this family tree.
Other than the one I love, I try to share that I care
about many here, and allowed to explore
this fantasy as my strongest passion
is my reverie

Not looking for much here anymore. A vibrant site once, now degraded to factions and games. Even the lure of instant comments wanes now, which was probably the real elixir so many stayed.  Will I still post here? Yes, though less and less. Will I still comment? Yes, as I firmly believe that for every poem one posts, the poet should give serious comments to at least 3 others.

I post for comments, I post for critique. I want to know how my poetry makes others feel and I am looking as well, for suggestions for improvement. Do I get it here? In the main I do, otherwise I would have left by now. I also have a desire to read work by others.

Three years into my passion and it's still going strong - here is as good as anywhere.

An unknown force threatens me into posting.  I can't stay away for more than a week or I will lose my other pinky.  

It's also nice to talk to people sometimes when they are alive and talking (((ECHO))) (((ECHO))) (((ECHO))).
