Writing a book on Microsoft Word?

I've seen on here that a lot of people write books on Microsoft Word. Is there any limit to the amount of words you can put into it? I'm working with an HP mini laptop, so I can't really save my work on a CD. I thought I could e-mail the different chapters to myself as a way of saving them. I know it's probably a bit of a hassle, but would I be able to write a decent-sized book with what I have?

Update:

First two answerers: No pictures. It's going to be a sci-fi novel.

Text takes up no space at all on a computer's memory. If you start adding photos, then you'll take up memory, but you could write hundreds and hundreds of pages of text. Why can't you just save it on your lap top?

I agree with that the person above me says, there is no limit to how many words you can write on microsoft word, only if you add pictures. What kind of book are you writing? A childrens book? A book for young adults?

Actually I like your idea of emailing yourself. I learnt the value of that when my computer crashed with all my data and my flash disappeared with a relative. However as they said - MsWord documents won't fill up your hard disk.
