Dog Emergency, please help!!!?
My 2 cousins are alone at their home and they called me saying that their dog is bleeding from the nose and vagina, she recently gave birth like 3 weeks ago and she was doing fine. They are under age and alone right now so they cannot take her to the vet until their parents arrive and that would be at night so please is there something they can do in the meantime???
Thank you so much

Bleeding from the nose? I think the dog needs to go to the Vet like now. Pronto. Why can't their parents be home right now?

Bleeding from the vagina is probably normal. The blood on the nose might be from the dog licking that area to clean it. Does the blood look like it is coming from the nostrils. They can take a baby wipe or a clean wash cloth with water on it and gently wipe the blood away. Does more come from the nose. If more comes from the nostrils then they need to get a neighbor to help. But it more comes from the other area of the nose then she might have injured it and that can wait for mom or dad to come home unless the bleeding does not stop. If it does not stop and is profuse then they need to call the neighbor.

See if a neighbor or friend will help. Bleeding from the nose is not normal, she should be seen by a vet immediately.
If there is absolutely no way to get the dog to a vet or have a vet come to them, then all they can do is wait and try to keep the dog calm and comfortable until their parents get home.

Bleeding SOME from the vagina three weeks after delivery can be perfectly normal. Bleeding from the nose is not. If they can't take her to the vet, there's nothing to do but wait. There are no home remedies without knowing WHY she's bleeding. Even at the vet, until they determine WHY she's bleeding from the nose, there is no specific treatment.

Well, the dog's nose probably isn't BLEEDING. Maybe she was trying to clean her vagina since there was blood on it or something... But from reading the other answers on here, bleeding 3 weeks after giving birth is normal? So... I wouldn't worry too much about it, but wait and ask the vet.

Oh pricey god, you are getting a canine and you don't know find out how to look after one. 1) it's going to bite everything. Dog proof your condominium by using hanging anything you do not want chewed out of reach. This involves underwear, pencils, makeup, clothes...Some thing. 2) If it is not being supervised, put it in its crate. Three) if you happen to see it going to the toilet, quickly say 'ahah!', opt for it up and take it outside. Wait unless it can be been to the bathroom, and reward it. Also take him/her out every 1/2 hour on the dot. Every two hours as a pup at night time. Four) build up walks from 5 minutes. No matter what the climate, it must be walked. 5) don't child it. On no account baby a dog. This involves ignoring unhealthy behaviour due to the fact it is small, dressing it up, no longer training it. 6) sign up it in coaching courses. You ought to do this. 7) on no account trust this dog around children. A youngster could conveniently decide on it up and drop it, or the canine would chew. Eight) in the event you see ANY signs of illness, ring your vet. 9) make certain puppy is at least 10 weeks historic. By way of this age they should've had all their shots. 10) there's nothing 'cool'. Dogs are tough work and also you mustn't purchase one simply considering that it's cute. This is how so many become in shelters.

Bleeding through the nose?? And instead of making the free call to a vet they decided to call you. And instead of you telling them to call the vet you asked a bunch of unqualified strangers what to do. A family of geniuses.
At this point you can either call a vet or dig a hole. Why did they call you instead of their parents? The dog need immediate medical help.

They need to go over to a neighbors house and see if they can get help bringing the dog to the vet. life or death situation could be at risk. vag bleeding is more than likely normal though

If there is NO way at all to get her to the vet, there isnt much that you can do at home to help except to keep the dog calm and to try to make sure she is at least drinking water.

Try to relax the dog and wipe up some of the blood and have one of your cousins go get a neighbor.
